Password Protected Directories in Hosting
Creating a password-protected area shall take only a couple of mouse clicks and a few seconds when you host your websites inside a hosting account with our company. You'll not need to do anything difficult - you'll need to select a domain/subdomain, to select which folder under it must be secured, and then to type the login name and password that'll be used to access that folder. When a number of individuals require their own login details, there shall not be a problem to create a variety of different usernames with access to the same folder. All secured folders shall appear with a padlock icon within the File Manager section, so you'll always know where this option is active. If you wish to disable the security function for any folder, you can deactivate it from the same exact section of the CP in which you have enabled it.
Password Protected Directories in Semi-dedicated Hosting
When you have a semi-dedicated server account with us, you shall be able to protect any content that you've uploaded via our protection tool. Its interface is as simple and intuitive as that of the Hepsia CP it's a part of, so you will not have to enter any code at any time. You will only need to select one of the domains/subdomains you have in the hosting account and to determine which folder must be password-protected - the website’s root folder or some folder below it. You may then input the username and the password, that will be stored in encrypted form in our system, and you shall be good to go. The protection will be switched on immediately, so anyone who tries to access the recently protected folder shall have to type in the right login details. In case various individuals should be able to open precisely the same content, you can create a separate username for each.
