A catch-all e-mailbox is one that collects all the email messages sent to non-existent email addresses. For example, if your email address is info@domain.com, but somebody mistypes it and sends an email message to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have set up. Just one mailbox per domain can have this feature activated and thus you will never miss emails because the other side has an out-of-date address or has made a typographical error. The downside of configuring a catch-all mailbox is that you may start receiving plenty of unsolicited emails, but this problem can be rectified using anti-spam protection software. It’s also vital to know that a mailbox with an enabled catch-all functionality cannot forward inbound messages to a third-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Hosting

Setting up a catch-all e-mailbox will be rather easy if you have a Linux hosting with us. You can activate this feature through our advanced, yet simple-to-use Email Manager, which is an essential part of the Hepsia Control Panel, via which you’ll manage your account. You will find all the email addresses that you have created displayed alphabetically and on the right side of each of them there will be a small "Catch-all" icon, which will quickly reveal to you if a certain mailbox stores all the email messages pertaining to a certain domain name or not. With a single click on the icon you can enable or disable this feature whenever you wish. If there is activated email forwarding or if another mailbox has already been configured as a catch-all one for a given domain, you’ll receive a warning notice from our system. The latter will not deactivate/replace anything automatically and without your permission.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

You will be able to configure a catch-all address with no more than a click if you’ve got a Linux semi-dedicated hosting with us and your emails are handled by our cloud platform. All the mailboxes that you create with any domain name hosted in the semi-dedicated account will be enumerated in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia hosting Control Panel. Each of them will have a small-size "Catch-all" icon on its right-hand side, so all it will take to activate the feature will be to click that icon. In the very same manner you will be able to disable the feature, if you don’t need it any longer. Our system will warn you in case you are trying to enable a second catch-all address for a certain domain or if there is activated email forwarding, but it will never modify or disable any feature automatically or without your permission.
